It Started in 2004
ZapDoc was started in 2004 as an overnight business letter creation service. This enabled executives pressed for time to have important single-page documents written for them, such as proposal letters, letters of recommendation, promotion and salary increase requests, and other documents. Executives appreciated the convenience and timeliness of quality, results-oriented letters delivered overnight, or in some cases, immediately.
Migration to Microsoft Office Programming
Modestly successful at providing business documents, ZapDoc expanded into Microsoft Office programming. Many businesses were saddled with inefficient process methods. Duplication of files, lost files, inconsistent security measures, and other issues resulted in lost revenues. So ZapDoc introduced its first foray, a switchboard application based on Microsoft Access that could streamline and automate several tasks. This led to comprehensive designs that turned Microsof Office into a fully-fledged office automation system, with no other software or separate programming projects needed.
Digital Prototyping, Imagine, and Data Mining
More services were added over time, such as:
- Data Prototyping, which allowed individuals to fully visualize a simulation of their business processes without having to invest in technologies associated with the business practices
- Data Mining, which allowed businesses to systematically extract data from the Internet to augment their intelligence assets
- Data Imaging, which allowed businesses to digitally capture and index their legacy paper records, resulting in greater control and accountability
